Tricks of the trade that must work
I see I have a task before me. I love it when the "pros" share some of their secrets to doing what they do so well.
Check out Barbara Samuel's method of using more creative formats than just writing to produce her wonderful books here.
This must be how she managed to have me hiding in the bathroom one day last summer when I was reading No Place Like Home, crying my eyes out, and not wanting the kids thinking I was upset about real life. :) Either that, or I really did need a good cry, and the book gave me an excuse.
I better go buy some posterboard.

Okay, well that's just crazy. I can understand the sticky notes and the mapping out of the story on a big piece of paper, but that collage thing . . . well I just don't get it. Guess I'm just not very "artsy." Or something. I just looked at the pic of the collage and went "whaaaaa?" Bah. Maybe I don't have what it takes. Meh.
