Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away

Yesterday was a good day. In spite of:

• One 18 year old son and girlfriend off and on (the two of them in the house, not the relationship, that is);
• One 13 year old and (VERY HYPER) sleepover friend;
• One 9 year old and (fairly calm) sleepover friend;
• One 30 year old surrogate daughter and accompanying 2 ½ year old son and 6 month old daughter hanging out for a few hours;
• One mother;
• And a mentally ill cat.

I got my writing done (and a lot!). I told them all I was going into the formal living room to work and not to mind me. :-D And it worked.

I hope I have a lot of days like that that this summer. Today, on the other hand, I am tired after staying up late watching Pride & Prejudice with the girls (what a great movie!) and going early for a dentist appointment with my son. I have to attend a wedding tonight for someone I've never met, but that's okay. In light of all this, I feel a nap coming on.
